Cause

Brown patches on new Ficus are often mechanical transport damage. Persistent spots on lower leaves usually indicate salt buildup/fertilizer burn.

Solutions

  • Flush soil thoroughly by watering until it drains freely for several minutes.
  • Dilute fertilizer to 1/2 strength and never apply to dry soil.
